Hi all - I've got a 01 Leon Cupra, and it looks as if my clocks are dead, I've borrowed a set of mk4 golf clocks and they weem to work, so the finger is squarly pointed at the clock unit.

The question is - my current unit is a 1M0920902C, but the only one I can find at a breakers is the 1M0920902A......are these two a like for like swap?

On top of that, does anyone have any idea if it's possible to reprogram the immobiliser/mileage via a standard serial port VAGCOM lead?

were the mk4 golf clocks a direct replacment?

which mk4 golf did they come from? will any fit?

does the dimmer work?
does your dash now have the blue/red glow

i was told that the milage is read from the ecu so didnt need programming (not 100% sure tho myself)

Nope, they're not a direct replacement, and the backlights dont work as far as I can tell.
But the rev, temp and fuel are correct - the speedo does work but the mapping looks wrong (it's 0-160mph as well, but it displays the wrong speed.)

The real pain is that MK4 clocks only start the car straight after the old clocks have been in because of the immobiliser...... and the mileage is stored in the clock as well.

I could really do with a lend to make sure a set of leon clocks are going to work before I buy some.
