Speakers in front

Afternoon all

Not that clued up on ICE, will be running a decent h/u, amp and sub in rear and wanting to uprate the front speakers and disconnect the rears.

The standard speakers have the tweeters in the doors, so to replace the front speakers should I simply unplug the tweeters and fit in coaxials where the speakers are, or are there any component kits that will be a direct replacement for the OEM parts, without cutting or messing around?

The fronts won't be amped by the way, just want to replace as they are

Are there any tried and tested replacement component kits out there that people recommend or is it easier and simpler to just uprate the main speakers themselves?

Thanks

J

what you could do is go for Alpine type S or Alpine type R speakers, they come with the tweeters and the front components with a crossover box to seperate the two. iv got that running on my car and loving it :D

well my speakers were pretty much straight forward, had them in my old car,and stuck them in this car. put them in place and wired them to the crossover,no fuss...
