Hi all,

I know this isn't the official place is should post this but i usually get more speedy and better quallity responses when i post in here.

Anyways,

I'm wanting to upgrade my front 2 speakers.

I'm currently running JVC Lh-811 head unit, blaupunkt 6x9's, 800w amp, and Rockford fosgate 12" sub.

Any recommendations on brands, sizes, prices or any general info on the speakers would be greatly appreciated.

Also with regarding the sound deadening i'm a complete novice with this stuff. How much will i need to buy and what should be paying?

Thanks in advance, Andy.

most of this can be found using a search as I posted many a thread about this awhile ago. Anyway I would go for comps and replace the stock speakers as for sound deadening if u r going to get the proper stuff, ie dynamat etc then I wouldnt buy loads as it costs a fortune and I wud just do behind the speakers and nothing else.

But if u r going to get something cheaper to use then you could do a lot of sound deadening ie floor pans, wheel arches boot. As if I remember correctly there is very little sound deadening in the ibiza.

i used alpine spr-17ls components for my car
found they were very good
very loud and very good quality
looking at around £100 for the pair. try www.caraudioandsecurity.com
with regards to sound deadning, dynamat is what i used and just put some behind my speaker really, more than enough!
