Right i have removed my door cards, both the drivers and passengers door.

Ive got the drivers one cut and the pocket fitted, going to do the passengers side tomorrow.

But now i have a problem, i have removed the door cards and there is this sheet type thing over the door (What Is It?). There is only on little slit in it and it covers the hole in the door where the speaker should go.

Firstly, is this alright to cut this sheet-thing enough to put the speaker in?

Secondly, how will i manage to get the dynamat on?

Thirdly, Will the speaker get wet etc in anyway??

Please :help:

Thanks

Yes you can cut the sheet but your dynamat will probably get a bit wet as my 'skinz' sound deadening stuff gets wet. But thankfully my speaker doesn't.

If you cut the sheet or accidently tear it its best to seal it back up with duck tape.

My door cards are coming off on sunday to get re-trimmed so I will take some pics of how my 'skinz' are installed.

How dont your speakers get wet?? Didnt you have to cut the sheet to get the speakers in??

My car looks weird without the doorcards on!! Had to drill the head off one of the screws by the handle cos i stripped the head!! Well i made it worse as the doorcard had been off before!?

I was thinking of just cutting the sheet, putting the dynamat behind it and taping it up so no water will get to the speaker. Is that a good idea.

Now to sort the crossovers out.

Thats where i put my dynamat on the inside metal. I never put any inside the door!?

I sealed that sheet thing up with loads n loads of duct-tape and no water has got into the car. I checked on sunday morning as there was rain overnite, everything on car inside was dry!

Yep thanks for the pics!! Honestly i used loads of duct-tape to seal the sheet back together!!

I had to cut the sheet on mine with a stanley-knife cos it was properly stuck to the door and i couldnt get it pulled back!

So cut the section i needed then taped it back together!

Got my crossovers fitted in a position that has (probably) never been done before! Will post pics at the weekend!
