Hi all.
new member but been on the forum quite a lot, had a Seat for the last 11-12 year, started with the Ibiza 1.9 TDI 130HP now have 2015 Ibiza tsi act fr with the black pack.
So my door speakers do not work and want to change them, I have seen Techie's guide to removing the door card, just wondering if any one has changed there speakers and what adapters you used, I have purchased some MB Quart 165mm speakers and some CT25ST05 adapters from connects2 but the speakers don't seem to fit the adapters, there is a recess in the adapters that surely the speakers should drop into, or maybe I just got the wrong adapters, and how do you attach the speakers to the adapters.
Any help or guide would be much appreciated

Hi @GHE

I'm also planning to change my front door speakers. Same questions here. How you resolved your problems?

Hi Maya77,

What year is your Ibiza? I assume all of the 6J have the same door card layout. If you’re looking for adapters to fit the speaker to the door search up CT25ST03. These worked perfect for my Bocanegra. Just remember it is quite a hassle to remove the door card because of the window regulator.

Hi @SQBocanegra,

It's 2011 TSI Ecomotive.

For adaptors I've found CT25ST03 or CT25ST05 should both work.
I'm not sure what's the difference between the two.

I've also read and watch some tutorials on how to do all this.
Hope to get it done without much trouble.

One more question about the speaker connectors... These are used, right?

Thanks.

Thanks.
The connectors are like that yeah. I couldn’t find any adapters for the plug so I ended up just cutting it off and directly connected the speaker cables with some cable crimps connectors.

I'm planning to use strip connectors or just twist or solder wires and isolate them with electrical tape.

I’d recommend using some heat shrink. It’s just a better finish. Twisting them you have a risk of the cables disconnecting further on and soldering is not too bad of an option but to make it easier I’d suggest using some wire crimp connectors 👍🏽

Job done. 👍

It wasn't hard thanks to all great tutorial contributors on the forum and Youtube.

Installed pair of Vibe Slick6-v7 and I'm happy with them.
