I've just bought a set of Spax RSX coilovers for my LC, anyone on here had them before and have any thoughts?

Got a good deal on them too :)

They were £499 inc VAT plus £15 delivery, link to follow at the end.

I'm also keen to lower, I've got 18" OZ's on and the car is up on stilts! Got the Cupra R splitter to fit as well so should be looking good once I'm finished!

A lot of websites give you the price and then add on VAT, I beat about £30 - £40 off my best price getting these. Who knows though, they might even be cheaper somewhere else

Cheers

2 of my mates bought SPAX coilovers and wish they hadnt. I think personally Id save up for an extra month and get some FK ones as they have been tried with many users on here and most people are happy

known to be harsh on the road...... never heard of any issues just pretty harsh.

theres better for the cash, if your looking at 500quid look at weitec hicon gt, much better quality and better matched to vag platform

im looking for something that allows adjustable damping settings over ride height - so when i hit the track i can harden the dampers etc. yeah around £500 is the budget

tbh mate, i dont think you could ever adjust the damping and rebound to be right, for track use unless professionally setup, i think weitec will have better knowledge on fixed rate than a non pro could ever wish to set up a fully adjustable kit

if not getting fully setup, cornerweighted etc then id stick to a quality fixed rate setup and tweak other handling mods for your track days

theres a local legend around glasgow called kenny brown, and he is awesome with suspension tweaking, which is why i was considering going to him to get everything tweaked at least once before the track session so i knew what to do. but you've made an interesting point. i shall ponder over this in due course.
