Sometimes its down to the sparkplug spanner your using - I had a hellfrauds one and it just didnt fit at all. Try a different spanner :)

I am having trouble removing those same plugs, access seems narrower on both. I have now bought two sockets and they just won't shift.

What are people using? Deep sockets or those t-bar wrenches??

Smith.james, did you get yours out??

Got them out eventually, using a t-bar spark plug wrench. I put them back in as tight as they were, sadly I can't torque them up because no socket will fit down there! I hope that will be okay. I put a dab of copper grease on each of the threads too.

Didn't notice that much of a difference really after replacing them. The old plugs were quite fouled and had deposits on them, I'll get a pic of them.

Next up, it'll be a new distributor cap and rotar arm, both of which look they need changing.

*Just added some pics of the old plugs on my flickr

My dad had to use a spark plug socket which he milled down on his lathe! Bloody designers, you'd think they'd be able to make the space that little bit bigger wouldn't you

Those plugs look a bit mucky, but not nearly as bad as mine were once....not sure that's your problem!

Haha, as I put the socket down there my first thought was 'if only I had a lathe'! Fairplay!
