Right, not sure of the correct terms etc but Im having new spark plugs fitted tomorrow and want to be sure that I get the correct "gap" between the points where the spark occurs. Theres an acceptable range I gather, a min and a max.

Anyone know the correct figures etc. Also do I go smack bang in the middle of the range or do I go to the smallest gap allowed or even biggest. Help would be appreciated. Cheers

I'm sure the guys on the golf and scirocco forums used a 0.7mm gap for their plugs and this helped solve the missfiring issues. What spark plugs are you putting in? I put NGK platinum plugs but I have no idea what the gap was on them? Car runs well though.

NGK mate, same as you. Thats what seat recommend too but Im sure Ive read somewhere of someone taking old ones out only to find they wernt NGK, cost saving maybe? They should come with the correct gap but in transport etc theres a chance of it being slightly out.
