sorry but its a thread about the connects2 ipod adaptor

some of you may flame me for asking this but i have been scanning the forum now for about an hour for a soloution, however there is so much conflicting and technical info on here that someone who has not ownded a seat for a while just gets confused...

basically, i have an iphone 3g. i have a mk3 diseasal with standard fit tape player. the tape player does not work.

i do not want a cd changer.

i want to connect my ipod to my stereo and am not bothered about the stereo controlling the ipod.

what do i need to buy? cheapest option? ebay links to the item for sale?

please help, im going mad

an iTrip is probably your cheapest bet, if your not bothered about control of the ipod from the HU and your tape player is out of action.

Sound quality is questionable though.

Best sound quality would come from using the CD Changer port with a Connects2 Adaptor, XCarLink, or Grom Ipod Kit.

It shows a Leon stereo in the pic, but I think they all have the same CD Changer port on the back.

Porbably best to email them and ask though, cos I'm no expert!!!

Thats quite cheap. How come the Xcarlink and stuff are so expensive when that ones like £30?

Thats basically only an aux in from what I can tell, no control of the ipod through the head unit.

Still cheaper than the XCarLink, but then it allows you to use the iPod and the CD Changer which was the deal breaker for me.

Ahh I get you. Thanks. I loved my Xcarlink on my other Cupra, but it's alot of money for the sake of playing your ipod in your car....
