Soon to be LCR 225 owner...

Just thought I would say hi..

I`ve been looking through this forum for the last few days to help me decide on a new car... A girl needs all the help she can get !!

I have owned a H plate Renault 5 GT Turbo for the last 12 years (which is up for sale. Contact me if interested) and I love it but really felt it was time for a change and compete with my brother`s... One has a Ford Focus ST, the other has a Lotus Elise...

This is what I have bought.... what do you think ??

2005 Leon Cupra R 225 in red with only 4400 miles on the clock.

I bought it from Perry`s in Aylesbury and was their demo car for just under a thousand miles.

It was then bought by a Lady who then part exchanged it for a BMW convertible ... why did she do that ??

It was initially priced at £15000.00

The price was then dropped to £13800.00

I paid £13500.00

This price also included 6 months tax, the "removal" of a scratch on the corner of the bumper and also a small scratch on the bonnet, refurbish the rear passenger wheel as it had been very very slightly kerbed ( I am quite picky with these things !!) and a set of car mats...

A service was carried out a couple of weeks ago by Perry`s.

The interior looks like new and can find no other body work issues.

On the test drive I did find it pulled to the left slightly and have requested that the tracking be checked.

I hope to pick it up on Tuesday.

I think I got a fantastic deal... what say you ?

sounds like a good buy. have a look in the meets section and bring yourself along to the MK meet, it normally happens on the first week of every month! welcome to SCN by the way! :)

Good buy, miles better than the R5.

I just this weekend picked up my 22000 mile 225 on a 04 plate that replaced my old 210 52 plater that died :(

Just shows how good they are if im on my second.

Excellent choice of car (we would say that though, wouldn't we ;) )

Sounds like you have got yourself a good deal too. But as Dodson says, make sure you ask them to prove what was and wasn't changed during the service they did. It's not unknown for dealers to skimp on this sort of thing and just put a stamp in the book. Although, to be honest, at that sort of mileage it's not as much of a big deal.

I bet Tuesday can't come quick enough now
