Hi this might sound like a really stupid thread, im having trouble with my car. I was driving along and the eml come on followed by a bit of smoke under the bonnet so i pulled over and something plastic must of been melting...i checked all the car over and couldnt see anything apart from a bit of molten plastic below the thermostat housing. I was also getting no boost at all but i put this down to the line from the actuator to n75 being kinked against the fire wall. ive checked my fuses on top of the battery and all is fine. Does anyone have an idea? common things that melt on the ibiza? Im having no luck at all with this car

Its a selector cable for the gearbox....would this still give me no boost? The car wouldnt pull at all but i cant see that having anything to do with the cable? would it also throw an eml?

As far as i can see i havent melted anything else. What are these like to change and what would be the symptoms of a melted cable as its really confusing
