Lisa and I handed back the Astra today, it's been a good enough car, in fact it's been great considering the punishment it's taken in the three years and two months we've had it. A bit boring, but reliable and sensible. Gave it a final detail on Friday and took some final pictures:

Anyway, picked up our Track Grey Leon FR TDi today:

What. A. Machine. Being used to driving a T16 MG ZR, I didn't think I'd be impressed by the diesel power, however the low-down torque on this is tremendous. Even in sixth gear it pulls like an absolute *******, would definitely give the ZR a run for its money, especially on the motorway. The interior is really nice too, too, and the technology the car came with is verging on the ridiculous compared to what I've been used to.

With it being a Motability car, we're restricted as to what "modifications" we can carry-out. Obviously the ride-height and a remap would've been first on our list, however the handling and power are already immense, so not really bothered about being unable to do anything about them. Going to concentrate on things we're allowed to do instead, already replaced the tax disc holder  Next are the centre armrest, some new plates which don't have the dealer branding on them, and a Recaro seat for the wee boy as he'll soon have grown out of his old ones. Other than that we're just going to enjoy it :)

Lazy post time then...

Looks cracking mate. Wouldn't mind one myself. Not driven the new CR diesels. Is it smooth? 170bhp?

Think i saw you mention it on cupra net that you can't get DPF delete and remap, shame, but as you reckon its pretty quick anyrode not worth the hassle.

How big are those front brakes discs!!!! they look ****ing massive. Even bigger than the mk1 LCR brembos.

Yes mate, you'll have to wait. I'm not sure who gave you the information that you can modify a Motability car, but they're talking out of their dungchute.

Nice colour, I've always like dark grey cars. I'll need to keep an eye out for you if you're from this neck of the woods. From the looks of the plates with the red trim, did you get it from Livingstones?

Standard FR interior mate :) I really need to get better pictures of it as it is MUCH nicer in real life.

I did indeed! I'm not in Uddingston much though, I actually live in Livingston, coincidentally.
