Sold my Mk2 Leon FR TDi

Just sold my Candy White Leon FR TDi

As much as I enjoyed the car, the diesel never really suited the sort of short journeys I was doing most of the week, and I only manage about 10-12k miles a year so I decided to switch back to the world of Petrol.

I would have bought a Cupra, but there seem to be very few about in N.I (and none at a sensible price), so instead I have stuck a deposit down on an immaculately kept (and I really mean it!) '06 Ford Focus ST-2. It isn't as striking as the Leon and maybe not as fast as the Cupra, but the engine sounds fantastic :funk: and it's a lot more comfortable than the FR on N.I roads!

Anyhoo I'd just like to say thanks to everyone in the forum who've answered the questions I've asked and to those who had already answered them through other topics. This is definitely a great owners forum and I think I'll still hang around in case I can ever offer some answers from my experience.

I don't doubt I'll be back with some FR or Cupra in the future as they are fantastic cars!

(Probably once I have gotten used to the MPG in the focus!!)

The Focus ST is a very good car in it's own right. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun. get it mapped and enjoy even more fun  Good luck with the full economy as i have heard it's quite hard to get more than 30mpg  The interior of the ST will certainly be a step up from the leon.
Hope you have lots of fun with the car and pop back now and again to say hi :)

Good choice. I had a 2 litre zetec a couple of cars ago.The interiors are great and handling is superb. But I just love the fr I got now and the diesel performance I'm getting.

Yea the ST's are a lovely car, mate of mine has an ST3 and the leather recardo's are superb. Just don't expect much economy, on average he gets 21-22 mpg :)
