You'd be looking at the unofficial mibsolution.one site for possible software if not a dealer, but I suspect something has bust or got software stuck. You'd reboot the phone and the unit (a long hold on the on/off switch till you see the logo come up). I'd do the unit first.

I would not change the firmware unless it's prone to faults but if running fine for many years it's either a software bug where either the infotainment unit is stuck... hence the reboot or the phone, reboot that or the settings got fumbled one way or another. Car Play isn't my thing so there could be a pesky Apple over the air update to the phone.

Also worth doing first use a different USB lead. They can break and deteriate. Length is also important. About 1 metre. I've had some in the past break. They go round the plug. UGreen ones seem to be well made.

The software on the unit hasn't changed so what makes you think it's a software issue?

We're legally unable to distribute software update files however if you go to settings, system information and post a picture I'll see if it's something we can offer here at the workshop

I've had a situation where they simply forgot to code it at the factory. When you open Full Link, does it say Android Auto and Apple Car Play in the Display?

Reckon it's a broken wire in the USB cable myself since it was said it was once working. I had it with my mib2 high. Android Auto stopped working. I'd had a retrofitter adjusting the FeCs, got home, testing, wasn't working, through they had left a FeC out, decided I'd swap cables and it worked fine. Some USB cables can't handle being pulled in and out and bouncing about. This was a braided cable but evident the wires were broken. Unbraided cables you can see the damage developing where the sleave pulls back and you see the wires looking in a poor state. Insulation gone on them etc. So if it's wired USB worth swapping cables and keep to a one metre length rule.

I have tried a few other usb leads without any success. I’ll try taking out the radio and see if any wires are broken. I found software but it didn’t upload to the unit. I found a link on YouTube that was really helpful. Min-helper.com. Just put in part number and it finds is software is available

I'd be a bit careful with those files. Too suddenly stop working if it's not the cable or a firmware / software update on the phone its going to be in the infotainment unit. Hence I said reboot it.

You could try the Leon 3 firmware thread. It's all the same mib2 firmware for the prospective model so experts collect up on that irrespective of model.

That's the non sat version of mib2 which is pretty unique as I recall. People ask for updates to the firmware and there are none. Mib2 software hobbyists aimed at the mib2 standard and mib2 high. FeCs have got corrupted then. Mib2 standard and high have the FeC press combination to read them.... you not been watching those YouTube videos that I slag off that leads you into trouble but has no meaningful discussion thread to get you out ?. Obdeleven as I recall will allow you to read and write FeCs for mib2 standard but obviously if you corrupt them you are stuck. Could be backup and restore.

The mib2 standard toolbox and mib2 high toolkit allows you to write them, change them etc. But neither is for yours. Got a sneaky suspicion you might have corrupted the CarPlay one somehow or the unit managed to corrupt them. That would be unusual.

Will remember the name of the guy that does those dangerous YouTube videos that can get you into a mess... mib-helper indexes into them. Mr Fixit.

You have a MEDIA SYSTEM PLUS unit I reckon which is neither the standard or high. Missing navigation. @leonlad is the resident expert on the mib2 standard tool box whether that's applicable or not to your unit or whether he's seen anything else. The tool kits and tool boxes meddle with the firmware so you can write the FeCs. Development hook that they use which I reckon got left out of mib3 or protected like the crown jewels.

As said by some means or other your FeCs have gone wrong. If you can bring them up on the screen you can probably cross check them with the published mib2 standard ones and work out the code of the missing one. You can try a long menu press to see if it shows them. Then work out a way of getting it in or pay a retrofitter like @East Yorkshire Retrofits 😉. Question of putting it on a bench I'd think or ODIS.
