Software issue

Hey guys, hoping somebody on here can help me!

I've purchased a 2016 ibiza fr and the infotainment system is just not working at all except radio/memory card. It has been into a garage and they said the software wasn't up to date and did not match that of the cars, as such it won't display any vehicle information or let me do/change anything. The car is booked into vw seat at the end of april but i'm hoping I can try a software update in the meantime to 'try' and sort it myself. Does anybody know which software update I need and how to go about doing it?
Second question, it says seat full link needs to be activated, contact my dealer. Seat garage have said it needs a full diagnosis before they can even look into that, is there an easy way to get this activated?

Officially you need to buy an activation code for full link I believe, you had to on VW , I'm surprised on an FR it isn't already activated.

You can find the current software version in your head unit think you hold menu button down for 10 seconds then it brings it up, if you can give a screenshot of that I can look for you

P0253t is the latest
