is everyone elses pedal really soft or is it just me? the fluid looks fairly recent and the servo hose has been changed but the pedal is rather soft! I woudl find it hard to believe there is air in the system as the pedal is consistently soft, is this total rubbish and the system could still need a re-bleed, or is it more likely to be the servo which is dying as even when the car is stationary and i put the pedal down as far as i can it hits the floor!

to check the servo switch the engine off and pump the brake pedal til it goes hard, then hold your foot on the pedal as if u were trying to press it hold and then start the engine. the pedal should then drop when the engine is switched on, however like said the pedal should not hit the floor, could be a case of not being bled correctly the slightest bit of air will do this, the system needs to be pressure bled.

thought as much. does one of those eazi-bleed malarkys count as a pressure bleed (i'd imagine so) if so i shall have to invest in one me thinks. Give me anything but brakes to do and i'll do it standing on my head! i just hate sorting brakes with a passion!
