ensure the key goes in the barrel and all the brass bits are present and correct and smooth on the outside

put barrel into handle (grease it a bit)

hold barrel in tightly

on inside of handle place spring and cap over the end (loop) thats sticking out

hold paddle in hand and use 2 fingers to push spring back exposing the loop on the barrel

hook in paddle

make sure all is ok and test left and right :)

if you are removing you old lock barrel DONT pull the key out unless you like puzzles and have patience and logic

yeah for sure as you cant get it out otherwise :) and when its out LEAVE THE KEY in too

sounds daft but if the paddle is damaged and still there you simply unhook it to get it out

there is 2 types early and late - these may help?

had it all apart today and had no luck with it what so ever!!! when the barrel slides in the handle the end you see is flush/flat so doesnt look as though anything would connect to it what so ever! do i need a newer lock barrel you reckon?

how much would it cost me to take it to a SEAT garage, or can you get fobs fitted to make it function??? really need this sorting out a.s.a.p lol
