so whats different from a 90tdi to a 110tdi?

what is the actual difference? cheaply done or am i a bigger noob than i thought?

i just dont fancy paying £400 for a tuning box that gives me 100bhp if ican get it for cheaper

its all been detailed in the past, have a look back through the TDI section (not the tdi tuning section) but the jist is a variable vane turbo, different injectors and a different ECU map, along with other stregthened parts i think....

just picking up the subject, all differences depend on engine codes.
Most Leons 90hp were older type without VNT but most mk3 ibizas tdi were ALH engine and these are virtually identical to 110hp ASV engine, just a matter of different injectors and ecu map.

ALH engine is really good to tune as it easily goes from 90hp to 140 with just injectors and new ecu map

Is the above statement true? If so, then what would bolting on a VNT from one of the PD engines give on top? Are there any that would be a direct fit? What injectors are we talking about?

Just a quick question (or two).......from my understanding the ALH come with a dual mass clutch, would a G60/ABF flywheel coupled with a VR6 clutch handle the torque? Indeed will the single mass flywheels bolt on? Thinking about it, is it ok to use Petrol clutches on a diesel engine? What about lightened/balanced ones?

Yes it is still true.

Bolting on a VNT wont really add any more power just reduces lag and lack of pull at the top end of the rev range, if the PD turbo is bigger then yes that will give it more power. But you would need a ECU to handle the VNT i believe.

Injectors - VW transport .216 ones. do a search for loads of info.
