So I've lurked here for quite a while. I have a Leon Cupra bought new on 2001, which is getting a bit long in the tooth, not to mention being a bit cramped in the back for two growing children,

So I've taken the plunge, my local Seat garage had a delivery mileage Black Exeo ST, 143 TDI SE for quite a lot off the list. I was after a sport 170, but that would have ended up being nearly five grand more.

It'll be a bit of a come down in performance, but is a heck of a lot more comfortable for long distances.

I should be getting it tomorrow, I'll try and post some pictures

Got it yesterday, seems very nice. I'm very pleased with it, very much more comfortable, and seems fairly quick. Bluetooth phone thing sort of works, though doesn't seem to like the phone book. Haven't tried many of the other toys yet

Sounds very tempting. Any idea what it does to insurance costs?

It would be worth calling in as a "new customer" to your current insurers and ask them if they will cover your car if you wanted to do this. Some insurers will not insure remapped cars

I like it, it's comfy and quiet, ride is excellent. I'd like a little more power, but it's fine most of the time. It seems well put together, but I've got a couple of minor faults which the garage are fixing up (missing catch on the rear arm rest and broken automatic light sensor). I must chase them about it

I should have added that at ~2000 miles the fuel economy went up. I'm now getting ~45 on a long run, 40mpg on my run to work, which includes 9 miles of country roads, and 8 of stop start traffic (My Leon Cupra would struggle to get to 27 on that run)
