Hey there, just got round to doing my airbox today at work. Heres just alittle guide hope it can help anyone
START 9am
1. Took out the box and snapped off all the lugs inside with pliers, then used a diegrinder with a emery stone and burr on to smooth out.
Sarny Break 10am
2. Used 80grit emery paper to rub down and finish and job was done. Smoothing took about 1.5-2 hours.

3. Once i had done both boxes i started on the cold air feed.
4. Got a 100mm aluminium ducting from wickes (£4.99 100mm x 4m so plenty to play with), and started cutting my airbox. After lots of trimming with sidecutters, junior hacksaw, diegrinder managed to fit the cold air into the box, *I made a template out of the piping first and then made the final pipe *,the next issuse fitting the pipe through the gap between the battery and inner bulkhead.
5. Removed n/s/f wheel and arch liner and removed origional feed pipe and foam.

6. Slackened off battery clamp bolt and slid battery to the left for some extra space. After some bending but keeping restrictions to a minimum got the pipe trought and routed.
7. Next step take it back out again and make the final feed pipe from my template.
8. Coppied template and made pipe. Fitted into airbox and fastened with self tapper screw with washers on so not to split the pipe.

9. After it was all secure i the tapped up the silver pipe from the airbox downover so that it looks standard when all back together.

10. Fitted air box back onto vehicle and fed pipe into the wheel arch. Then when secure i worked the pipe to get it as smooth as possible and bent where neccesary to get the best flow.

11. Put wheel arch back in and wheel back on.
12. Next bit THE ANNOYING BIT. The company who i ordered my green panel filter from, i foned and was then told i would have to wait as the filter was on backorder and will be contacted on monday to be given a date when i should get it. i ordered it on wednesday and was told that i would have it by today. Y not a fone call to tell me it was backordered and i could have got it from sumwhere else so i have put the standard filter back in now.
12. Anyways . . . job done pretty much put the old filter back in and top box back on
I can sort of hear the dumping noise very faint now as i cudnt hear before sounds abit chattery tho when i back off but should be better when i get my green panel filter and also going to uprate the dv. Will have to wait and see.
Well there ya go job all done and finished at 1:30
