I happened to glance into the rear drivers side wheel arch earlier and noticed a small plastic tube dangling down from what looks like the bottom of the boot.

I'm working on the assumption it's new as I haven't noticed it before, does anyone know what it is?

I gave it a light pull and it felt like I could have pulled it out (not sure how far).

My only concern is that I had the brake fluid changed a couple of weeks back and that somehow it's been left unconnected?

If anyone know what it is and if it should be connected to something I'd really appreciate it. On the other hand if someone could have a look at theirs and tell me its's exactly the same that would equally reassuring :)

I've got one too, might be something to do with the fuel tank or something, since its only on that side of the car - had me puzzled when i first noticed it last year, but the cars still going and nothings fallen off so it cant be doing any harm

Its definitely the drain line from the filler cap, its for draining any water that ingresses past the fuel flap when it rains.

I had to remove the entire filler assembly to replace the locking solenoid, hence why I know what it is..
