hey guys, i did try to use the search function for this but couldnt find any help, so advance apologies if this is a common or stupid question but i would really apreciate some advice.
i have just bought a seat ibiza CL (95) its got a 1.05 litre engine, its my first car and needed low insurance so dont laugh, its pretty much immaculate but it has a problem with throttle responce ie. try and quickly up the revs and the enginge will chug for a second before picking up (even in neutral) this is especially noticable from tickover. the battery when i bought it was completly flat and i have heard that this could cause the ECU to forget what it knows about the engine, is this most likely the problem or could it be more serious?
