I had my Ibiza FR PD remapped on 3rd Jan by cutom-code.
First impressions were that i could feel the car pull better through the rev range past 3-4k revs, but it wasn't the instant transformation i had expected. It was like standard but without the power tailing off. I was told about the map having to learn its parameters over the first 5-6 turns of the ignition after the map, so i expected it to get better after a few days.
I have done just over a 1000 miles since and have been moderatly happy until i took the car out with my friend with his standard fabia vrs.
We went out to do a test so to speak, to see if the difference in standard and remap were noticeable (as he was interested in c-c).
We had a good hours worth of me following him and him following me on dual carriageways and b roads and the end result was that the cars were pretty much the same. I couldn't gain on him or make any ground so to speak and vice-versa.
Obviously this has left me quite disappointed and thinking if there could be a problem on my car?
Surely there should be a notable difference onthe road between standard VRS and a c-c'd Ibiza?
I know when i had the remap done, the chap that did it said that with the engine being low-mileage, it still has a lot of 'loosening up' to do. The car has now got 5000 miles on the clock. For comparison my friends vrs is totally standard with 18k on the clock. I also have a cupra intake and green panel filter.
Any idea's or suggestions would be welcomed.
