Since Milltek Exhaust ~ Back Popping/Pressure

Hello Peeps,

Since I got my nice new shiny exhaust fitted, I've noticed the beeza is back popping or has back pressure (whatever you wanna call it) within the exhaust occasionally when I let of the accelerator....

Is this bad, I heard that standard they do it too, but I don't recall mine doing it very often....

Ideas?

my mini does this since i fitted the bigger stainless exhaust, as standard it was dead quiet. So its probably a by product of fitting a freer flowing exhaust, i think i asked on my mini forums and they said its ok, nothing to worry about, enjoy the sound

(probably all totally irellevant as mines a mini and this topic is about the 1.8T but there you go.... )

oh and that was a cat back system.

My Cupra has been popping and banging more so recently since in removed the N249 valve.

Previously it only popped when changing up at around 2k when driving from cold in 3rd/4th gear.

Now it pops on demand when changing up at low rpm.

Keep wondering WTF is going on. At least now I know its not causing damage,

(Just read M0rk's link, technically, I could also be spitting flames? Unburnt air/fuel mix sittin around, then phwoof??)

Popping.... like m0rk said can also be a leak... allows air in to combust.

flames in extreme cases.

I think its CupraT's ibiza in performance VW, (The one at a jet wash)

Carl, gotta get the remap sorted mate, think its new remap time! Wont be for a while though, as im broke. (Although overtime is being done in copius amounts.)
