Im after the bigger of the two pipes to be replaced in your photo.

I have just replaced the vacuum hose from my DV for a new red 4 or 5mm hose. This will be the size you'll need for that pipe. Check the link

Im still waiting for an answer to my problem.

What I cannot understand is why would VAG put such soft pipe/hose work on vehicles that are running such high temperatures? Surely reinforced should be fitted from standard!

The hose's that you are both talking about come as 1 comlete set for Seat, So I'v been told and they are about £60.

Lee M I had the same hose split on mine and I replaced it with 8mm reinforced tubeing from Forge, they charge £12 for a Meter length and you only need about 70mm.

edmong1981 I'm not sure you will be able to replace that pipe with a straight pipe because of the tight turns in it, it might cause it to kink.

edmong1981 have you had these pipe's off before this occation ??
I think one of the reasons they split is cause the after market hose clips cut into the soft rubber hoses.

Yeah £60 is right!!!!!

What a rip off for a bit of hose! I cant believe they have to be sold as a pair its not as if they are joined.

Lee M, just off the subject, what is your brake set up like? are they noisy? how long are the pads and discs lasting?

Looking to do the same upgrade as you.
