I fitted some LED sidelight bulbs at the weekend and they were great.....up untill today when I turned them on and nothing happened

The rear ones still work and the light comes on the dash but the front sidelights dont come on.

I replaced them with the standard bulbs and they still don't work, also checked the fuses [no 22+23] and there fine

All other lights work ok.

Any help appriciated I'm really stuck :confused:

Yeah as mentioned they were working fine until last night.

I mastered the art of getting them out now its actually really easy if you just press one of the tabs in :)

Anyone have any ideas, its driving me nuts.

Why would I want to put them in backwards mate? they only work one way as there is only a live and a earth on one side unlike normal capless bulbs that work either way?

Or am I missunderstanding?

Nope.

And I've replaced with normal bulbs now and they still dont work although the rear lights work as does the bleeper to say the lights are on.

Both the left and right sidelight fuses are both fine.

Have you swapped the fuses with another of the same amp just to rule it out?
I know you have said you checked them, but tbh there isn't a lot else to go wrong.

I only pulled them out and checked them I have not tried replacing them but they looked ok.

I'm now off out for the day so I'll buy new bulbs and new fuses and hope it works........if not I'm gonna be pretty stumped as can't think of anything else it can be.

Quick update to this...

The new LED bulbs were had it, they only lasted about 2hrs....moral of the story....don't buy cheap LED bulbs from Hong Kong :(

The reason my old bulbs didnt work was because whilst rolling around in glove box both filiments had gone.......thankk god for that as I was getting worried!

2 new bulbs and were back up and running again :D

Hi there, new here be gentle :(

Pick my mark 1 up on wednesday and one of the first upgrades will be my hids (which i will take out of my astra) and some LED side bulbs, is there a warning / cut off system in the mark one for any of the bulbs?

Also in my astra i had some LED sidelights but with the hids it cooked them and they died and i had to put normal 5W5's in, would this be the case with the mark 1 does any one know?

Thanks

I don't think any warning system just a simple 5amp fuse for each sidelight.
