Side Light and Full Beam

Help Please!

I have just changed the headlight bulbs with no problems but after a long look at the side light and full beam, decided it looks a bit more tricky and as light was fading gave it a miss for today

....Is it a headlight out job? I have removed the rubber cover but didnt know if the side light bulb just twisted out in its carrier like some of my previous cars?

Thanks:confused:

no, not a headlight out job. But having slimmer hands does help as it's a bit restricted in the space department. It's just as quick to change bulbs in there once you get the knack of it.

As Chan said.. Don't need to take your headlights out. I managed to get several cuts squeezing my hands down in to do it though! :)

Thanks for the tips - I may have to draft in some help - the sausage fingers will probably fail me on this one....

It certainly helps if you have small hands, but if you squeeze the sides of the lamp holder they will come straight out [ you may feel some slight indents which are like spring fingers] - I'm well practiced now and many brusies to show for it !!

Thanks, I have sorted it but ended up being really dissapointed with the bulbs, so old ones are back in. Would be tempted by LEDs but don't want the hassle of warning lights or resistors!

I best get looking!

If you are electrically minded then a simple solution is to use [RS PART 811-642 T3 1/4 10mm round wedge PCB lampholder] on two 500mm fly leads fitted into the back of each of the side light holders this takes the original lamp - which in turn loads the car system - then NO BULB display!
