Since I got the MK4 in 2021 I get Side assist error (in colder seasons) on first engine start.
I don't have error code right now but it reads like "Short circuit to + in mirror LED".

When I stop/start engine it immediately works without any issues.

There was already a lot done in warranty, change master ecu rear radar, change ambient LED in door, cabling, change battery..
It was just "we don't know but we change some things" I guess

Could it be only bad connection in door connector?

I have appointment with dealer for some maintenance soon, maybe someone knows what could be tried?

Since when does the Leon 4 have an LED in the mirror glass? Isn't that in the door panel? The control unit may also be defective, in this case it is the master control unit

Yes, the code indicates mirror, wrongly.
The master unit in the rear has been changed already.

I don't mind that problem really anymore, it's a day one thing, got used to it, but still little annoying.
If there would be any fix it's good, if not - it's fine as well

Yes, cockpit message, yellow light, infotainment (car status)
Cannot be activated manually again in the problematic startup cycle

Funny enough when I was troubleshooting, it never happened even in winter, when connected to 12V charger over night.
That's why dealer changed battery I guess, just dealer things :p
