I have just bought a 2001 ibiza cupra with 65k on the clock 1 previouse owner with full Ssh. i paid £4600 for it and had to replace the cooling fan that cost £300 and i have just had it revod £410.

Someone has just offered me £6k for it should i sell?

will i find another honest ibiza for £6k?

Opinions please.

The car owes me £5300 so 6 k would give me £700 profit.

the car is good 1 previouse owner i have looked on the internet and cars not as nice as mine are asking 5500 to 6000?

if i could find a newer car with lower miles for £6k i would sell do you think this is possible?

the only thing is my car doesnt seem that refined. is that usual for these cars?
the engine noise is quite harsh and there are vibrations felt through the pedals.
i think my car has also had some paint which may hurt resale?

Also if you buy another Mk3 you'll be getting REVO I assume unless you buy one off here, (as most have a remap of some sort), in which case your'll be without a car for a few days, inconvienience, and of course, £100 in your pocket. Thats if nothing needs doing to the new purchase, ie another fan etc etc.

Up to you, you might find one cheaper with less miles, but I would find another one FIRST.

all depends if you are happy with your car.

You dont want to jump out the frying pan into the fire so to speak.

If you car is fine then you may well get one with lower miles that could be a pack of trouble. is that worth £700

i keep looking to change mine, it has 60k on the clock but its running absolutley fine, i have only had a couple of coil packs. for me personally its not worth changing it for one with lower miles as i know exactly what i have got with mine.

Ditto - I am approaching 60K now, but she still runs well, think I still have original MAF too, only had one coil go since I bought her, so not too bad really. Don't think I'd go for another Ibiza if I sold her tho, no reason other than I don't see the point! Hopefully an LCR, when mines done like 100K they should be affordable lol

To be honest if your happy with your car, why bother? Whats the point in selling a car your happy with on 65k for a car that may have been thrashed more, have more marks just for the sake of "making" £700 which really you wont have made as you'll have just blown it on a car that is just like you have.

Personally I cant see the point, unless your current car is shabby. I looked at loads of 30~50k milers and they were dogs, I've got a minter on 69k and couldnt be happier!!

If the car is still going and ur happy with it why bother???

You might sell and buy another and u could have problem after problem..

My seats just hit 91k and she's still going strong, as long as the car is looked after mileage isn't a problem...

I say keep it...

i have told the buyer that he would need to come up with another offer in excess of £6000.

In other words i am keeping it!!
