AFAIK it's meant to be a feature on the LCR but my remote doesn't do the windows

SO, should I have it but it's dissabled on VAG-com or did they take it off the late ones (mines a 55 plate) ?

Also, do the foldy mirrors work from the remote too?

Sorry if it's been asked before - I did a search but couldn't find a direct answer

exactly as richy says above. The only functions on the remote fob are the lock and unlock functions. i think pressing the lock button twice disables the deadlock, but thats about it.

Yeah thats what it says in the manual. I have it with me today (odd i know)
The remote key can only be used to lock/unlock the door(s)

Hold the key in the locking position for a second or so and the windows wind up - holding the key in the open position apparently opens them. Although i havent tried it.

Cool, cheers for the info guys... I would have checked my owner manual if Wiltshire and Sons had given me one for the right car - idiots!

I'm suprised that it doesn't have this feature from the remote tbh as all my previous VW's have been able to do it - B5.5 and a B6 Passat plus a mk5 Golf and lastly a Octy VRS! My Corrado only does it from the key but that can be forgiven as it's 11 years old...

Oh well can't say I ever really used it much anyway - it's just a nice touch :)

Going to have to go back to Farnham Seat again at the weekend as they forgot to stamp my service book and I need the right manual... hopefully I won't have anymore stupid questions before then

no you can't use vag com but you can use another program, can't remember what its called but u'll need a serial vag com lead, and to boot comp into dos, the program is similar to vagcom though....i'll find the link in 5 mins

Auto Window units can do what you want there.

I have one, the windows and mirrors fold in and up when locking the car, and the mirrors unfold when i unlock the car, if i press the unlock twice, the mirrors and windows roll down all of them.

Handy little thing, total closure so to speak!

Hi, right sorry got called down to work just while i was plugging the laptop in...

http://www.passatworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219402

that thread has the info you need for programming the convenience module, looks quite easy...

Not tried it my self as my vagcom cable is only single k line.

But half way down the page you need to down load this:

http://129.125.253.199/vw/diversen/VDC_PRO_CD-Image.zip

And burn that to disk, its a image file which contains a bootable cd with dos and the vag program, just type vag.bat when it loads up and it will run the program.

then just follow the instructions...

But mind you'll need to check your conveniece model number...
