I have had the FR almost a year now and as I bought it from a stealer it came with a years warranty. Should I renew for another year?
I haven't phoned for a price yet but I was wondering if anyone had done this. My car has just reached 40k miles so will things start to fall off soon?

So  or :thumbd:

:) If i remember correctly. When my standard 3 year warranty ran out.Seat sent me a letter about extending it through 'Mondial'.Asked for a quote, and although i can't remember the exact amount,it was frighteningly high.I compared the same cover with 'Warranty Direct',and they were half the price.
I think Warranty Direct are a pretty good bet,but i've heard that if you play hard ball with their quote, they are inclined to drop the price a bit.
Personally,i didn't bother extending it with either. That was coming up to about 2 years ago now,and nothings went wrong(that the warranty would have covered).
Do you feel lucky?.

Don't bother, this site has enough info for you to diagnose faults yourself. Get vag-com for about £100 and you can sort out fault codes and diagnose stuff yourself. Most of the stuff you could fit/fix yourself once you get the error codes read.

A good price for the extended warrenty will be £3-400 I reckon and that won't cover much apart fro a total engine failure. If you were to claim for a total engine failure they would most probably not pay out and say that you didn't top up the oil/water.
