Recently I managed to find one of the mods i've been looking to do, since i bought the car, Headlight protectors!

Not very exciting i know, but i thought they were a good idea, and looked good, as they were nice and shiney!

Well, I managed to pick some up on ebay, and thought wicked, so yesterday, i go around to fitting them! And here's a piccy i took:

Now, most would think I would be happy! And yes i was, they brightened up the front a little, and protected the expensive headlights, so all good!


But, while driving home from work tonight, doing about 30! (Honestly) My good luck at the moment struck again, whenone of them flew off the car! Now, anywhere else and i would have stopped, but on a busy dual carriage way, no way! Luckily it flew up over the car, and landed in the middle of the road, an didnt hit anyone's car!

So, i now have one (passenger side) headilght protector, anyone got a spare drivers one?

PS i doubt the other one will still be in one piece by now, and i'm having a crap day.

must be gutted, sods law means you'll prob get a headlight smashed now that the protectors are off!

Well, i've got a house purchase thats going as smoothly as sandpaper,
my auntie's had a heartattack,
my sisters cat who i've been looking after isnt well, and may not live,
everything i touch pc related seems to either not work, or break,
and parts sem to be randomly falling off my car!

So it wouldnt suprise me if your right, maybe i should order spares now!

You can buy them from SEAT dealers matey, think they're about £15 each from memory!

On my list of to do's aswell, how are they secured?? unlucky mate

jking - they are secured by a metal clip at the top which you hook the covers over (like a coat hook only slimmer) and then it has L shaped brackets on the bottom which slide under the bottom of the light itself.

Ive only ever managed to loose one of mine when i had to go into a hedge to let a tractor pass when i was in devon, managed to pop back and get it though, otherwise they have always stayed firmly on.

Mine didnt, and i made sure they were as secure as i could make them.

Next time i'm using duct tape!
