short wishbones

Hi, I was told that getting shorter wishbones or a shorter lower arm would help alleviate a tyre wear problem I've been getting from the inside of my tyres. I've had a Weitec ultra GT suspension kit fitted. But this was happening on the standard suspension as well. I've had it 4 wheel aligned today so hopefully that will help. Also getting powerflex poly bushes fitted at the end of the month.
Does anyone know where I can get shorter wishbones or lower arms?

I've never heard of shorter wishbones for the Ibiza.

A specialist wheel alignment garage would be able to improve your geometry by using the bolt slack in certain suspension parts. Shifting for example the wishbone bush housing and the ball joint that connects the wishbone to the hub can help with your camber issue.

Maybe take a look over at www.briskoda.net " jabbasport superpro bushes" in the Fabia section, as someone has got "adjustable" TCA bushes fitted by Jabba . These bushes has a large section, maybe aluminium outer shell with an excentric inner hole where the smaller section solid poly bush is located. To sort out camber problems, it looks like you can rotate the bushes outer shell - but I'd reckon that you could only do this while everthing is clean and free from corrosion - but it sounds like it could solve your problem and give you more adjustment than the more normal "using over sized holes" adjustment alllows.

Personally, I'm not into fitting coil-overs etc, but I have read, maybe on Briskoda, that on this platform, adjustable top mounts do not work if you intend to drop the suspension when you fit coil-overs as they seem to bottom out quicker as they end up fouling part of the adjustable top mount. This might not be exactly true, but watch out for it if you intend to go down that route.

Edited:- one other thing, out of casual interest, I looked for info on superpro bits and this, probably new kit, does not seem to be on their site - so maybe contact Jabbasport direct about that - but at least something exists as there is a picture of what claims to be this very part in a posting on Briskoda. The poster that got them fitted moved directly from ordinary voided bushes to these - so had not tried the Cupra solid bushes "on the way", he was delighted with the improved feel to the car and its steering - but you get that from the Cupra bushes anyway. I'd reckon fitting these "adjustable" TCA bushes should solve any camber problems with dropped suspension - but any normal suspension should be fixable without resorting to going down the "adjustable bush" route - although I wish that that statement was true (frightened to look at the front tyres as paying for two four wheel alignments was enough - tyres are cheaper - I think!!).
