Hi Guys,

I have had a search around for information on a 30k mile service for my 130TDi Sport but can't seem to find anything.

So far I have had one garage tell me it is a full service and another say it was an intermediate....

Can anyone clarify? Also does anyone know what gets changed on both of these?

I plan to do the work myself.

Thanks

Mike

Thanks Deano... At least the parts and the servicing should be reasonably cheap. Should be easy to do aswell.

^ yep i think thats right! i just had my 20K done, 30k should be an intermediate, £170 from seat iirc!

My Dealers was £180 for the 30k service... got quoted £90 from a local garage.

Going to do it myself for the cost of the parts and buy myself a pint or 2 with the change!

The seat dealers in preston must be quite cheap then

10k was £90
20K was £235 ( including a brake fluid change )
30K was £145 ( including new front brake pads )
40K been quoted at £252

The big one is around 50K when they suggest strongly to change the cam belt.

When I spoke to the dealers earlier I asked if they flush the engine and that was a big NO!

I bet they don't even leave it to stand for the required time before putting the sump plug back in!

When it comes to the cambelt I will get a Pro to do it but everything else I am sure I can do.

Have almost rebuilt a Classic shaped Mini so at least I won't have the rust to contend with!
