Hello All,

Could anyone recommend a place to get my 2.0Tdi serviced ?, I live in Castleford and work in York, so ideally somewhere near these areas.

It's an Altea, still in warranty.

Ted Johnsons in Barnsley are the best They are excellent for service and very friendly, when I first started using them they were also the cheapest but dodn't know how they compare now.

The only other one to mention maybe is Richard Alexander in Huddersfield, I have not tried them but have read a couple of good reports.

Wills and Ellis York

Hi,

I'm new to posting on threads so I hope I've done this right.

I used to live in York and still work here. I had all the servicing for my Ibiza done at Wills and Ellis, in York. I had no problems with them. Don't know how they compare on price to W. Yorks dealers. I'll be taking my Altea there for it's first service (depressingly soon).

I bought my Altea from JCT600 in Bradford and my personal impression of them isn't great. I've had my car in at Bradford 5 times for minor problems and the parking sensors and each time they can't fix the parking sensors. When they finally sort them it is not going back there.

Looking around the site I vaguely remember that some dealers do discounts for members. it might be worth checking the dealers section.

Ooh, forgot to mention TJ's also do 10% discount scheme so check out the dealers section on how to join the scheme.

Dont just think Seat Dealer's, also think Skoda & maybe VW etc. I phoned round for my 30k service the other week. Seat in Peterborough wanted £180 but was only £100 + vat from Skoda, VW said they could not service my car, though I hear other people have had their Seat serviced at a VW Dealer. I quoted the Skoda price to the Seat garage & they price matched.
