service and diagnostic lights

Just curious about two things.
When I turn on the car then there wont be any lights in the dash. But when I turn on only ignition then many lamps start to shine, after 1 second all of them go off but not Engine and EPC light. Is this ok or I should go to service? I think its ok because when there are errors then the lights in the dash should also appear when the car is running. Got curious because one of my friend told that something is wrong...

Again when I turn on the ignition then small label appears in the dash: service
Ddoes it mean I have to go to the service or what??? If yes, then is this regular service or something special.
When I turn on the car, the label disappears.
Its in the same place where the milage counter is.

I have a seat manual but its in Spanish language and I can't understand anything

The lights are ok, it'll be like that before the ignition is turned on.

As for the service, it just means you need a service, this dissappears after a few seconds.
