Hi guys.

Does anyone have the 3rd year service checklist for a seat dealer?

I'v doen a search but cant find anything .

Im thinking about going to Qwikfit because they are cheaper (by about £48) and have a full checklist. I'v been quoted £200 from seat.

Cheers.

personaly I wouldnt trust quick fit with my car, not even to do a simple job like fit a tyre (the screwed that up on my car before). And definatley not something more complicated like a service!

There should be a list of items in the front of the service book that came with the car.

:) Your 3rd year service(or 30K),is basically a standard yearly Inspection Service. With a few extra bits thrown in.
It's all the usual 'checks' that you get charged a fortune for.Brakes, tyres, leaks, money making oppurtunities. The ones that the MOT always throws up.

The important bits.If you have to use Kwik Fit.Make sure they use a quality oil and filter.Seat do.
They'll probably want to change your spark plugs. They don't get changed until 40,00 miles or 4 years on Seats(long life expensive plugs i think).
They probably won't change your pollen filter.Seat change it at 3 years.
Make sure they check your gearbox oil level.

Personally,i wouldn't recommend Kwik Fit.But then main dealer prices are a joke.
Do you have a local recommended garage that you could trust?.Cost might fall into the mid range.
Certainly. If you use Kwik Fit.Take their recommendations for 'work needing done',with an exteremely large pinch of salt.

Personally think you have been mis quoted there!! my local garage charged me about £130 for a 3rd year service on my cupra. changed my oil & filter & checked for any recalls etc. Thought it was a bargain really. Cant believe what some people come out with on here for service quotes! I must just be lucky! :D

I decided to go with a seat dealer in the end and they were very good. I went back to get the car early and to my surprise they were jet washing and cleaning it! It cost an extra £23 for new wiper blades all round.

I was given the new ibiza 1.2 5 door for a curtesy car which was.......... Umm....... it rode the speed bumps well......
