Firstly the news is we have recently finalised our new dedicated server, this is now in the process of being built by our new uk based hosts, and everything should be moved over by the end of this month, there of course maybe some downtime involved, we're not sure as yet, but we'll try to make the transition as smoothly as possible.

Its very exciting and a powerful system we have gone for, to give us some growth, and breathing space, its cost us a bloody packet mind you :p but with the generous help of our sponsors etc, we've been able to cover these costs.

This has secured SCN at least for the forseeable future. :)

Other projects currently in the pipeline, to co-incide with the new server, will be a forum software upgrade to the all new vB 3.5, and were also currently rebuilding our website with a new fresh look, and more features, so a few nice things to look forward to this year, and with any luck SEAT will win the BTCC too. :D

Statistics

For the statto's amongst you, or just for idle interest, i've collated some stats for you, for the last 12 months or so on SEATCupra.net. 2005 certainly pushed all the right buttons it seems, to the point where we have of course had to evaluate our server requirements to cope with demand.

Top Stats.

Im not putting them all up as its done on a daily basis, but ive listed some of the busiest days of the past 6 months, starting with the single biggest busiest days.

October had the biggest interest this year it seems, seeing over a thousand of you on these days listed. Must of been something interesting happening then. :)

wow,

only 1.7% of us use MACS i thought it would be more than that, so only 1.7% of us see it in top quality .....lol

As for those trafic stats, blimey, i think the only way you could get to those figures is if you changed the site name to www.nakedladies.com

now heres what you want to do, you got a very succesful site, hows about charging us all £20 each, .......lol

well i know i will keep spreading the word.

I know in the old Days The CTR owners site used to have big figures like that, but they had severe problems with down time.

I can honestly say i cannot remmeber the last time the site was down, which can only be seen as a huge credit to the Admin peeps.

WELL DONE

Well done Admin! Very impressive figures and a great place to be.

I'd hazard a guess at the Chewie thread being responsible for the October peaks too...

Superb job, very interesting stats and as others have said it is a remarkable site with very few glitches and all the better for being free. All the founders, admins and moderators should be very proud.

...Oh and congratulations to whoever took the Chewie thread past 6,000 posts - that thread sustained the biggest load of drivel on a car forum I've ever known...and yet someone keeps it from being purged each month...maybe the originators of that thread should chip in to the new server? :D

Forgot to tell you that won't include data from SYW, For Sale ads, Local meets - all of which get a purging.

Normally 5-800 Threads/months
