Serious problems

Hi i could really do with some help to diagnose the problem with my seat leon ?
i bought it as a cat c right off ive repaired the damage and had it running !
i took it down the motorway an it went bang took it home and found the hydrolic valves an big ends wer destroyed ive replaced them and now the car wont run ??
ive towed round the block had it running BADLY and the exhaust was spitting glowing embers out i looked under the car and the cat was glowing !

if any one has any ideas please let me know ! asap

yeah its great !!!
it wont run with the turn of the key at all we had to tow it round the block to get it to go an it sounded awful an then thats wen my girlfriend sed it was spitting embers !
ive checked the timeing an its spot on ? im stuck ?

Suspect your cat is blocked!! Remove i reckon?

fuel pouring through and burning in the cat - probably bent a shed load of valves

i was going down the motor way the oil light came on so i turned it off checked the oil it was spot on
recovered it home. drove it into the garage still ran ok but knocked
removed cams and found the the hidrolic tapits where worn
replaced them with new ones
then removed sump to find lots of metal shavings. i then replaced the shels cleaned the pick up pipe
then rebilt it with a new belt
then it wouldnt start its got full compresion at 12 bar
sparks at the right time and is geting fuel

what could it be please help

unconnect the cat and see if it runs, it will be loud but you should be able to tell if its that whats restricting it.

Where do you think the metal shavings in the sump came from?

the metal shaving wer form the big ends which i sanded and put new shells in
