Well due to a catalogue of problems with my car and now the bloody think leaking water in, (not very severely- yet!) I've decided to sell it.

Seat are unwilling to contribute to the cost of having a waterleak repair and the dealer quoted me almost £500 to get the seals on all 4 doors done (and this might not even cure the problem!)

Whilst I think its a great car to drive, I just cannot live with the shoddy build quality of these cars.... In the 2 years I've had it, the following has needed doing:

Throttle body clean to stop it stalling constantly ~£60
Split CV boot replacing £40
New convenience unit as all electironics failed ~£300
Replacement motor for climate control unit ~£400
and now this [:@]

Plus the fact the handbrake button seems to have popped in (if it goes in any further the handbrake will stop working!)

Reckon I'm gonna get a 330 instead. As I said, its a shame as I do enjoy driving it.

My sister's BF has a 35K mile black Cupra R which he has offered me for around £10K, but I don't think I can stand to own another Seat, knowing the same things might happen again.

My car is a pre- facelift 51 reg, silver with 34,000 miles. I would be looking for about £7K for it. Is this a fair price?

£7k sounds more or less ok to me, if it's in decent enough nick.

Shame you're getting rid due to the niggly problems, but I myself do know how you feel (I've got a Y-plate Cupra and it's currently running really, really badly).

Yeah like I said its a lovely car when it's trouble- free. My Cupra is the leather/ electric one too- so I I would hope 7K would be quite easy to get.

Hmmm if you were selling my car, would you let on there was some dampness in the footwells? as I don't think I can bring myself to sell someone a car knowing it's leaking- I still need £7K for it though.
