The FIA World Touring Car Championship is beginning its new season this weekend 7th - 8th March at Brazil's Curitiba track, where double world title winner SEAT will be defending the titles they won in 2008 with the SEAT Leon TDI.

Tarquini topped Friday practice. But the BMW's were hanging off his behind with the other SEAT's in close contention.

However hard to see where they will end up yet, lets see what happens in qualifying.

under 1 second separated the top 10 cars.

SEAT have pole position for Race 1 at Curitiba tomorrow. Yvan Muller produced the fastest lap of the weekend so far in the final 10 minute qualifying session.

The WTCC have adopted a new F1 style qualifying system with an initial 20 minute session followed by a 10 minute session for the top 10 cars to set their positions.

SEAT have started their title defending season in real style by locking out the following 4 positions behind Yvan for a factory five lock-out of the WTCC Brazil grid.

Sounds like SEAT worked out how to play the rules SEAT qualifying train I bet?

Yer however BMW just sat in the pits and watched it happen. Then in the last few minutes decided to react and buggered it up. SEAT worked as a team and it paid off for them.
