SEAT servicing - ripoff or value for money?

I've been looking at the various service plans and different types of services that SEAT offer and I can't see a difference between a 1st service, 2nd service and minor service except the following:

1st Service
£189

2nd Service
Pollen filter replacement (where required)
FREE SEAT Roadside Assistance (when service booked online)
£239

Minor Service
Pollen filter replacement (where required)
FREE SEAT Roadside Assistance (when service booked online)
£169

All of the services mentioned above include:
Premium synthetic oil change
Change oil filter
Comprehensive vehicle inspection and report
Check for outstanding vehicle safety, software and product enhancements from SEAT's database

Does that mean that SEAT charge £50 for a new pollen filter on the 2nd service?
And charge £20 more for a 1st service compared to minor, but you get the same service?
What does "Pollen filter replacement (where required)" actually mean? That I pay for something that may or may not be replaced but if it isn't replaced I pay for it anyway?

Just curious about the above, maybe I'm missing something but I don't see much of a difference between the different services. Page 13 of the service plan PDF has a table showing the differences: https://www.seat.co.uk/content/dam/...fixed_price_servicing_leaflet_august_2019.pdf

Dealer servicing is by definition a rip off but Seat's pricing is not unusual or excessive. Most mainstream brand servicing is in the same sort of ball park. I don't have an issue paying for dealer servicing while the car is under warranty. While more expensive, the cost isn't that much more than you'll pay at an independent, and it keeps things simple if you have problems. After that the case for dealer servicing gets trickier to make.

Ill always be sure to ask them if thats the best they can do...

Once took the BMW in to the dealership for some work to be done and when I asked if they could sharpen their pencil they cut their quote in half. Actually undercut the independent BMW specialist up the road that I would normally use.

Nice one! I've asked about the prices in the Seat dealer near me but they didn't offer any more off. I also asked if they could do a deal on a SatNav card, as they are crazy expensive from Seat, but they wouldn't do that either.

Definitely worth a try though, you don't ask you don't get.

My other gripe is that our local main dealer doesn't do courtesy cars - they will let you have a loan car for £30! I'm not sure how that fits in with CupraCare.
