location , location
front seats are removed by 4 bolts on the runners 2 front 2 back , you can then tilt the seat backwards towards the rear seats and then unplug the airbags.

Do not start the car with the airbags un-plugged or when you put it all together again you will have an airbag warning light on.

Rear seats require an M10 spline. You have to tile the seat backs forward, remove the plastic cover between the seat back split to remove the retaining screws. The spline is required to remove the anchor point for the middle seatbelt.

For the rear seats do you mean the base or the back?

If its the base put your hand in where the back meets the base and give it a firm yank up and towards the front of the car. There are two hooks that hold it in at the leading edge of the base you'll need to do this to the right side then left.

Once the base is out it's easier to do the back. Take out the boot mat/floor. pull firmly or leaver off the plastic capping (this cover the bolts and hinge on the rear seats)

Fold the seats forward flat and then you can push the side of the seat back so it slises off this metal bar (you'll see what I mean when you do it).
Also if you can get access to the bolts undo these whenever you can (these attach the seatbelts to the chasis)... You'll need a bloody large Torx socket to undo them. Then the seat backs along with seatbelts should come out.

Hope this helps chrisarch

Sorry if i'm hijacking this thread, it's about seats honest.

My passenger seat is squeaking pretty badly but only when it contains a passenger.

Has anyone got any ideas for fixing it?

Unfortunately the squeak is coming from the main body of the seat and not the base.

Cheers

Make sure you have your radio code though

When I did my battery cover mod I disconnected the battery and with advice from peeps on here I found that the mk2 leon doesn't have radio codes as such. the radio is paired to the car and when you put power back to it there is a hand shake and the two re-pair. As long as it's the same radio you should be fine.

Never had mine disconnected, so you may be right. Seems funny why they would give you a code card in your handbook though

I can confirm that the radio code is not lost, it just re-pairs with "it's" vehicle, I guess the immobiliser plays a part in this.

The only events that happen when disconnecting/reconnecting the battery are a number of warning lights, all of which self check and disappear during a drive round the block

It's a habit I have got in to at work. Saves a lot of grief
