Hi,
Newbie!
Recently aquired a new Leon stylance 2.0TDi as my company vehicle for the next 3 years in Black Magic metallic with heated seats, reversing sensors, convenience pack, Ipod connection & engine cover. :D
Very pleased with it but I do have a few questions that I wondered if someone here would know the answers to. Seat customer services seem to know little if any info!:(
Problems/questions
Condensation in front nearside headlamp, never seems to go away, no problem with the other headlight or the foglamps
Condensation inside windscreen & drivers side window, never had this before with previous company vehicles, is this something unique to this vehicle or a trait with all new leons?
Noisy engine, seems noisier than the test models I have driven, will the noise die down over time?
Also MPG is quite poor, again will this improve with time?
Took the Ipod connection option because Seat technical told me that the aux in was standard & that the Ipod would just be an extra connection. (wish I had found this forum before) Although I didn't have an Ipod at the time but thought that someone may buy me one for crimbo I presumed I could use my MP3 player until then BUT there is no Aux connnection! Can this or a usb socket be retrofitted by a dealer?
No cruise control or washer level light, Seat advise NOW that these are only available with the Bluetooth larger MFD, again I wish I'd known that when ordering
No glovebox light, no big deal but a bit penny pinching all the same.
Also strange but I have no 12V socket in the rear of the centre console, I just have the cigarette lighter socket in the front, can I convert this to the 12V socket via a cover, I don't smoke so have no use for this?
The engine cover was not fitted (even though this was part of the order) but have arranged for this to be fitted by a local dealer through the lease company.
Does this dampen the noise a little?
Lastly does anyone know if there is a slot to place the fuel cap while refueling the car, really annoying having the cap hanging & dripping fuel over the bodywork? Phew, glad I got that off my chest! :help:

Oh & btw although it may not sound like it.........I love the car, it drives very well & is very sporty yet comfortable. a pleasant motorway cruiser.;)
Hope you can help with the Q's

Near Reevo :)
Not an owner - just a reader of this forum, so have seen some of the questions asked before. :)

Not many issue seen with this before, leave the lights on to heat it out, if that fails speak to the dealer about a replacement.

Oh .. yes! - This appears to be an issue in the making, lots of reports of exactly the same and so far all that seat have said is "yes, it does that!!". Keep an eye out on this forum for future info, some have suggested removing and re-installing the outside window rubber so that its closer to the glass has helped, but i'd wait and see what others have found / what seat decide to do.

Some have reported noiser than others, cannot remember the outcome - think its just one of those things.

Also MPG is quite poor, again will this improve with time?
Yep, *should* approve over time, depends on how you drive it of course ;)

Rule 1 ..... dont trust seat techs first answer!
AFAIK - yes the dealer can replace the usb with an aux connector, you cannot have both. - speak to the dealer, i'm sure there will be a cost.

No cruise control or washer level light, Seat advise NOW that these are only available with the Bluetooth larger MFD, again I wish I'd known that when ordering
Think alot of people have just found this out.

No glovebox light, no big deal but a bit penny pinching all the same.

Something to do with you get a rear power socket if you dont have a spare tyre.

The engine cover was not fitted (even though this was part of the order) but have arranged for this to be fitted by a local dealer through the lease company.

Welcome to seat :) - doubt it makes a difference to the noise, just the looks.

Lastly does anyone know if there is a slot to place the fuel cap while refueling the car, really annoying having the cap hanging & dripping fuel over the bodywork? Phew, glad I got that off my chest! :help:
Yes, there is a little "nobble" on the end of the cap, this slots into a clip on the flap. (use the search for better info - perhaps even a photo i think)
