Mine did this as well when i first bought it.
It was the secondary air pump (or so i was told)
It was replaced and this stopped the noise.

the reason i ask is bacuse i tsounds like it goes away, the noise, once the oil seems to have circulated.
see if that sorts it out, change the oil, eanwhile go to your local exhaust place and get them to check it, but make sure they show u.

could be the secondary air pump mine sounds similar and was told don't worry unless you want to spend a couple hundred quid....

not sure to be honest though but they seem to def think its the airpump as it kickso off after a minute too like yours.

my local garage seems to think its a split pipe conneted to the secondary airpump, so i am now waiting for them to come up with a price... but i will ask them to show me the pipe first!!.

tractor(ish) noise

I have an 02 plate ibiza cupra and mine does exactly the same when I first start it up for about 1 or 2 minutes but mine isn't quite as loud. I just assumed this was just warming up and the car doesn't seem to be running badly at all any other time. Its been serviced recently too so i never worry about it. Should I be booking mine in the garage soon....?
