I recently purchased a leon fr tfsi 2.0 petrol on a 2007 plate. Out of a full tank of shell v power which costs around £62 from empty the most miles i have achieved are 270 and thats with 70% slow driving but its always short local runs. Its weird how people who drive 4.2 litre petrol cars can get 400 miles plus for a full tank. Can everyone please post how much petrol costs them and how many miles they get. Thanks

They probably have bigger tanks and it's from mainly motorway miles ;)

270 is decent mate, especially if doing short local runs. I get anywhere between 190 and 230 miles to a tank of V Power before the light comes on..... But i only ever do short journeys, stop start driving, and once the car is up to temp it gets driven properly.

By contrast, on a good run i've had over 400 miles from a tank when driving to Belgium last summer.

If you're worried about your MPG you should have bought a diesel

I get 200 mile to £35 of 95ron. would imagine I'd get at least double that for a tank of v power

Im new to owning a sports car, well technically my first proper car, so i dont really know about the average miles out of a full tank, was just seeing if that figure i achieve is normal.

Im not worried about my MPG i was just checking if that figure is normal mate.
