Wassup!

So I've already introduced myself with my DD but in this post, I would like to document some progress I've made so far;

Last time I visited mechanic, we did some light problem solving regarding oil stains on the engine. It turns out I've had an oil (and coolant) leak at the gasket where oil filter housing meets the block. The gasket was replaced and oil leaks were no more. While I was at the mechanic, he replaced my front brakes with new Zimmerman rotors and pads. Stops very good with some noise at light braking (don't care tho). Also replaced the plugs at 85k km.

Now the interesting bit - I've had some complaints about cabin noise at high speeds (120km/h and up), so I've taken a weekend of my time to isolate the cabin with sound insulation.
If anyone has any questions about manufacturer or type of insulation feel free to ask me. I'll be attaching some pictures of my progress.
In short, I've used 2 step sound insulation in both of the front doors, under rear seats and in the boot. The difference is night and day, and I can comfortably talk with my significant other while driving at motorway speeds. Even my dog loves it.

Next step I did I visited my local TVS dealer to talk about upgrade options. He suggested Stage 2+ TCU in combination with Stage 2 ECU upgrade. I agreed and flashed the car with his help, paying a misely 800€ for the package. He also suggested the intercooler upgrade, so I'll be ordering do88 intercooler in the near future.
About the tune: DSG is now very responsive without any slugging. No more 'shift as soon as possible to the highest gear' logic. It also acts very quickly, without any hesitation (even at kickdown). I must say I am very impressed. I have not tested 3 step launch control unfortunatelly. The Ecu tune is also very linear but with a twist. It pulls like a train, and after 3500RPM it's like a beast off a leash. Wheelspin all day long on winter tires.

Alltough I have (maybe) reached the end of the road for future upgrades/mods, a few things are still on the to-do list, like:
- do88 intercooler, as I said earlier. Not to chase big power gains, only for reliability, getting rid of heat soak in the summer and for longevity of the turbo.
- Michelin PS4S? Another option was Uniroyal Rainsport 5, since this is my DD and not a track car, nor do I use it 100% all of the time (since I always have someone in the car, even a dog sometimes)
- Dynaudio subwoofer upgrade (I am thinking of upgrading the speaker in the enclosure, so I ordered one 6.5'' speaker from JBL and we'll see)
- One step colder plugs. Since I've changed them RIGHT before the tune, it would be a shame to throw away brand new ones for a one step colder ones.

That's it. Fell free to check out my other post and pictures attached to this one.
Have a great day!
