Seat Leon 2002 - Unable to open bonnet

Hey all,

I went to top up the windscreen washer resivour this morning and was unable to open the bonnet!

The release lever i the driver footwell works fine and the plastic lever in the grill pops out as designed, but when I pull the lever I am met with far too much resistance!

The bonnet opens up by about 1/2 ich, but no further. I've looked through the gap and can see that the front hook/catch/latch has rotated down but the 2nd one won't budge.

I've tried to shift it with hands, screwdiver etc, but to know avail.

Any suggestions welcome!!!!

try the search mate, someone had this before but cant remember what the solution was!

Mine did this, basically did the 'fiddle with a screwdriver' and shut and open the bonnet and it worked, was just sticking, once its opened i used lots of spray grease and never had the same problem again.
