Hi!

I just bought Ibiza 2003 TDI 130. It says 130 in registration and two red letters on the back of the car

BUT

It has 5 gears, and on the top of the engine it says TDI and NONE of the letters are red AND it feels slow!

Help, did i just got scammed?! :(

Thanks for answering, it is a Finnish car. It says on registration sheet that it is 96kw.

BUT i think the original engine and maybe the transmission is swapped! I believe it is originally a valid 130 model but i suspect it isnt anymore! Please help me identificate the engine!

I'm not too sure apart from the battery voltage meter and oil temp gauge but if you suspect it's had an engine change the only way to tell would be to go on a dyno.

Take a picture of the engine without the engine cover on and post it here.

Mines a PD130 and the TDI letters on mine were all silver.

All PD130 came with 6 speeds, there are subtle differences between the 100 and 130 but they are hidden (injectors etc...)

Isn't there an engine code on the block to check?

It could just be the standard engine with a boost leak?

The engine code sticker (on the timing belt cover) had been removed. That was it. I was sure it had been through engine swap. Probably the gearbox have been broken and it has been cheaper to get full 90hp or 100hp engine+tranny combo than buying a solid 6 speed. Anyway, I called to the seller and we have both agreed him to take the car back. I do not believe there is a 96kw engine because it doesnt punch like one. I have had a ATD golf and it was atleast as fast as this ibiza, and this should be a rocket compared to the Golf. But anyway, thank yall guys. Preciate for your help.
