Afternoon,

I was just wondering what mpg people have managed out of theirs. I've just hit 42 MPG around town today and the car has 250 mile on the clock.

Does anyone know if it will get better than this ?

I don't understand your measurments ,but I can tell you my personal best out of town - 4.8L/100km average!

In the city about - 7-7.5L/100 km (depends on traficjams).

Outside - 5.5-7l/100km (depends on your style of driving).

If you exceed 130km/h - the fuel consumption goes to 8-9L/100km....

I have 1.4 SC sport, 30 000 km already passed (I am about to change all filters and I will tell you the performance afterwards - I hope for optimization) ;)

Cheers!

When i had a courtesy1.4 Ibiza(5 door, though) for a day i got 40 MPG on moderately congested A10,while the Cupra manages around 35 MPG on the same route. It already had several thousand miles on the clock, the whole cabin was rattling, the pedal compartment was cramped and the engine and gearbox were shocking after the Cupra, but it rode better and had good grip and body control for a family car.
